Building Studies

Objective: To determine the safety of existing buildings for the purpose of adding additional floors or the safety of buildings based on their existing status :

  • The site is received from the owner and all construction elements of the building are sensibly inspected.
  • One of the bases is to make an exploratory hole and take a concrete core sample from the base.
  • Concrete pulp samples are taken from columns and bearing walls.
  • Readings of the thickness of the concrete cover as well as the detection of the iron bars used by the elcometer.
  • Samples are collected and taken to the laboratory for testing according to specifications.
  • The building is photographed to see its general construction condition.
  • All information is compiled according to engineering assets.
  • The official report is written in accordance with the rules, with the building condition and its validity.
